Translated from the German by Joseph McCabe, from the fifth and enlarged edition. An early work on evolution. The cover of this book is in execrable shape, and the book is fit for rebinding. The textblock itself, apart from the first page, is tightly bound and no pages missing. Cover has almost completely come away from the textblock and shows serious age and wear. A previous owner has placed the name of the book on the plain card cover in a blue coloured pencil. Browning to the textblock edges and pages. Please check out the accompanying photographs.
