Scarcely available to the trade in this specific edition, being a reprint of the First American Edition, with "1873" appearing on both title page but without copyright page. Henry Holt's printer's device to both title pages (an owl perched on the front covers of a book. A perfectly serviceable set of reference copies, complete in two volumes; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy. Bound in publisher's original brown cloth, Moderate rubbing to extremities, bumping to and scuffing of spine heads and feet, chipped at head of Volume II. Else clean and unmarked of interior, mildly but evenly tone throughout, and still easily on the shelf. Volume I: frontis matter, 8-440 pp.; Volume II: frontis matter, 4-454 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
