Orange cloth with gilt lettering embossed on spine, and gilt lettering and decoration embossed on front board, illustrated with black and white photographs and drawings, 318 pp. Stories of personal bravery, startling encounters and heroic achievements; stories of the people of Mexico from the time of the Toltecs and Aztecs to the present day; vivid descriptions of hard-fought battles; stories of the savage warfare of bandits; stories of heroism and self-sacrifice. Amazing collection of photographs from turn-of-the-century Mexico: Pancho Villa, the federales, Woodrow Wilson, Huerta, Francisco Villa, the Zapata brothers, with cartoons and additional photographs from the period. Silverfish damage on front board. Rear hinge weak. Pages are tanned. Previous price covered with stamp on endpaper. 4 pages are missing a 1x2 corner, text still legible, another page has tear and a few pp. at the end have right top corner bent. Rare and an amazing historically significant collection of information. Fair condition..
