Moderate rubbing at the corners, a bit more at the spine ends and the gutters, small chip at the top of the spine of Vol. I, both front hinges cracked but bindings firm, text block fresh with no foxing. Both volumes have the bookplate of John Stratford Dugdale, a Member of Parliament in the late 1880s.
