First American Edition, first printing (Stated 1st Edition with the "E-L" code on the copyright page). Publisher's full blue cloth, gilt lettering on blue panels and gilt striping on spine and cover, gray endpapers. . The volume is in excellent condition, with a small booksellers label on the rep, and is otherwise unmarked, seemingly unread, and with only the slightest hint of the old damp-stain; it is tight, square, and clean. The unclipped ($2.50) dust jacket has old damp-stains, chipping, and tape repairs, but is now in Mylar. GOOD/FAIR.. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. (vi), 473, (1) pp .
