London: Chatto & Windus 1955. (Hardcover) 620pp. Very good in very good plus dust jacket. Pale green cloth with gilt lettering and decorations to the spine. The spine is lightly bumped at the top and bottom and the dust jacket is price-clipped, lightly worn and faded along the spine. "The snapshots had become almost as dim as memories. This young woman who had stood in a garden at the turn of the century was like a ghost at cock-crow. His mother, Anthony Beavis recognized.
