About This Item

New York: Alfred a Knopf Inc, 2004. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Physicist and author of The Elegant Universe tackles the theories of time and space. Stated first edition. The textblock edges have some soiling, but otherwise the pages are clean with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. Boards do have some bumping and edge wear to the spine and corners, especially to the lower right corner of the front board. This area also has some moisture damage which has discolored the board for about an inch in either direction and has also bled onto the dust jacket. However, the 1/4" by 1/2" area of blue dye from the boards is hardly noticeable against the design of the jacket. The dust jacket itself is not price-clipped but does have some general edge wear and scuffing as well as some soiling to the upper edge of the rear flap and along the inside edge of the front and back cover that may be from moisture. This too, is not readily noticeable. This collectible, very good/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
