About This Item
Book club edition. Very good in very good dust jacket. Signed by author. A small chunk is missing from the bottom of the dj spine, edge wear to top and front edges This book is inscribed and dated (May 16, 1970) by Wallace to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and, later, Arvada, Colorado, autograph hunter William W. Stanhope. His practice was to write letters to celebrities of all stripes asking for their autographs, or, in some cases, autographed pictures. It appears that by the time Stanhope got around to requesting Wallace's autograph-some 11 years after this 1959 book was published-all Wallace had left to send was a book club edition. He wrote 16 novels and 17 works of nonfiction. The Fabulous Showman was his third book.
