(New York): Random House, (1960).. (1960).. Good. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY WILLIAM GOYEN - Octavo, cloth in a dust wrapper. The top edge of the binding is slightly faded & there is some very light spotting to the lower halves of the covers. The dust jacket is lightly rubbed & soiled with staining internally. There is a chip out of the head of the jacket spine & the top edge of the rear flap is foxed. [ix], 167 & [2] pages. There is an area of staining & a small area of soiling to the bottom edge with a few small, light stains to the fore-edge. There are small areas of staining to the bottom inner corners of the rear pastedown & endpaper, rear blanks & the last few pages of the text. Good. <p>First edition.<p>Inscribed by the author in the year of publication on the front endpaper and signed "Bill".
