Battle Creek. Magner Publishing Co. 1894. Bound in gilt titled 3/4 burgundy morocco and marbled boards. Marbled edges and endsheets. Thick 4to (6.75" x 9.5"). First Edition. Illustrated with 1400 monochrome, duotone and chromolithographic plates and drawings depicting all manner of things equestrian. An immense compendium of Equine information. Startling in its scope. Sumptuous in its illustration. Quite rare. Top of original spine strip lacking with coloured varnish repair. Obvious repair to rear hinge. Boards rubbed as usual, else a Very Good, crisp, bright copy.
