About This Item

225-234 page with bibliography. Royal octavo (9 1/4" x 6") bound in original publisher's wrappers Volume 31, Number 3 complete issue. First edition. Studies of friendship have emphasized the socio-demographic attributes of "friends," or the rules governing conduct between them, including the rights, duties, and privileges of friendship. This paper supplements earlier studies by focusing on the variable identification of friends under differing circumstances, thereby illustrating the method of situational analysis applied to data other than the manipulation of ethnic identities. Research on friendships among middle-class Americans is interpreted in terms of this perspective. Condition: Spine sunned, spine heal bumped else very good.
