London, Dean's Rag Book Co., Ltd., (1915).. Circa 1915, miniature format approximately 55 x 54 mm, 2¼ x 2 inches, pale green cloth covers over thin card, not 'pinked', coloured illustration of child sleeping under red and white toadstool, fairy blowing tiny trumpet on lower cover, 22 pages including insides of covers. Fairy with candle inside upper cover, inside lower cover is printed: "The Fairies have gone to Bed is published as a song by Francis, Day & Hunter". Coloured title illustration and 10 full page coloured illustrations of fairies and little children, each facing a story in verse about the fairies which Daddy tells his little boy to get him to go to bed and sleep. 1 or 2 pale fox spots inside covers, otherwise a near Fine crisp clean copy of a rare Dean's Rag book. Peter and Dawn Cope, Dean's Rag Books, page 117, T2, in print from 1914 to 1916. 3 titles in the Teeny Wee series listed and illustrated including ours. All 3 are scarce.
