Plates Printed by Leighton Brothers and retain their wonderful bright Colours. ( One of the 12 Plates is missing, that of the little Mermaid). Printed at the Chiswick Press. Newly Translated by H.L.D. Ward and Augusta Pleasance. Beautiful Green Cloth cover illustrated with bright Gilt Phoenix, Dragons, Butterflies & Flowers with a Central Design of "The Wild Swans" on the front. Gilt title to spine. Beveled Edges. All page edges Gilt. Black Endpapers. 94 Pages + Publisher's Advert. 12 1/2" Tall, 1.3 Kilos. 3 small closed tears on left side of spine (1" long).A little fraying of cloth at spine ends. Also at tips of corners, tip boards just showing. Also a very small tear of fore edge of rear board (1/4" long x 1/8" wide). Hinges sound. Frontis illus, detached but present, has a few small closed tears in margins. Rest of Text block firm. Very faint gift inscription on endpaper, dated 1919. No other inscriptions. Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall
