First edition. Octavo. 470 pp. One of 200 copies, signed by Rex Whistler on half-title. Illustrated with 10 full page black and white illustrations and numerous others throughout. Endpapers repeat the cover design in green.

Full white buckram, elaborately decorated in gilt on covers and spine by Leighton-Straker Bookbinding Co. All edges gilt. Previous owner's neat gift inscription on blank endpaper, dated 1936. Evidence of bookplate removal on verso of front free endpaper. An extremely fine, fresh copy.
