Pictorial endpaper; color pictorial title, 30 full-page color illustrations and numerous smaller ones in color and b&w. Spine ends a tad bumped, inner hinges creased (as always), else a clean, bright copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (slight wear to lower corners, 1 inch clean tear mended at base of front panel, price-clipped). Signed by the artist, Michael Foreman, and with a bookplate signed by the author, Terry Jones, laid in.
First edition. 30 original fairy tales – all filled with humor and magic – by one of the original Monty Python members. Foreman's fantastic watercolors and pen-and-ink drawings bring out the joy and enchantment of these marvelous tales. The first collaboration of this team that went on to create The Saga of Eric the Viking, Nicobobinus, and many others.
