About This Item
New York: HarperCollins, 2006. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. The 13th crime-thriller novel for Parker, twice an Edgar Award winner, features Robbie Brownlaw, a San Diego homicide detective, who was thrown out a sixth floor hotel window three years ago. He survived the fall but was left with a neurological disorder in which he sees people's speech in colors, a condition that amounts to a primitive lie detector. Brownlaw is assigned to investigate the death of a former cop, now an investigator for the city's Ethics Authority, and suddenly finds a lot of pressure to call the death a suicide. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket has perhaps a touch of edgewear. A collectable copy.
