Hodder & Stoughton, 1959. First Thus. Hardcover. Good/Fair. Eileen Soper. 512pp, no inscriptions, not price clipped, illustrated. Wrapper is fair only, rubbed to all edges and with a tear to top edge of front cover near spine which has been internally repaired with special non acidic archive tape, however it is complete apart from small areas of loss to top corners of fold overs and top edge of spine and is now in a clear protective sleeve. Nice condition copy internally with no loose pages or turned over page corners, wrapper has done its job in protecting boards which are in decent condition with some bumping and rubbing to corners. There is some slight spotting to edges of text block. Nice reading copy, excellent evocative illustrations.
