Macmillan, 1938. Cloth. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Very large, heavy, sturdy book, quality dark red cloth, bright gilt lettering on front with gilt illustration of St. George slaying dragon, bright gilt lettering on spine, illustration of elegant 19th century gathering in rural setting inside covers and adjacent end papers, small tan bookplate and address label at top of first front end paper, 387 lightly browned pages. Some ink underlining and notes. Light wear to tips, crease down spine middle. Good.
