Light rubbing to boards, very old waterstain to top third of Vol. One, very light scattered foxing, else a very good copy. HOWES F-169, "aa": "Extensive travels, by an Ohio journalist, through Missouri and Illinois." Graff 1345. Clark III:158. Buck 299. Flake 3373. "Most of the text appeared originally in the Louisville Journal. The sections on Illinois and Missouri are especially valuable"-Graff. Flagg includes accounts of early Mormon settlements and of his journey down the Ohio River.
