Harper & Brothers, 1898. Later Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. Two Volumes. Stout 8vos. x + 587, x + 729pp., including appendices, plus 4 pages of advertisements at the back. Illustrated throughout with nearly one hundred b/w reproductions, sixteen color plates, and four folded maps in pockets. (complete). Original dark gray cloth, with gilt titles and decorations adorned in red and green. Top edges gilt, others uncut. Both volumes recased with new endpapers, and map pockets. Moderate rubbing to the cloth along the edges,and general shelfwear, else a Very Good usuable set.
