Stated "first edition" on copyright with a full number line. Solid text block. In the publisher's dust jacket, price clipped, touch of shelf wear, shallow chipping along edges, bright illustrations, a very good example. Signed on the front free endpaper: "To Jane + Amos Gooden / With all good wishes / J. Edgar Hoover / Xmas '70." A scarce work on the F.B.I. to find signed by J. Edgar Hoover.
