New York: Viking Press, 1982. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus. FIRST EDITION. SHARP CORNERS. Dustjacket very good plus. Mild edgewear. Mylar protected. Gilt lettering to spine of royal-blue, cloth-covered boards. Photograph of Roosevelt in 1928, to frontispiece. Many black and white photographs and illustrations. Clean, tight, bright. 256 pp with acknowlegements and credits. A salute to one of our century's great leaders. It is the 100th birthday of FDR and the 50th anniversary of his first triumphant campaign for Presidency. Roosevelt held an unprecedented four terms as President of the United States. The New Deal was enacted during Roosevelts presidency, and the quote, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" was from his 1933 Inaugural Day speech.
