Edicoes GRD em convenio com INL, 1975. 3rd Edition . Trade Paperback. Fair. Several creases to spine which is sunned and cocked, binding still holding strong though weakened. Underlining and marginalia to first 30 pages. Still a good reading copy. Two inch tear in front cover at tail of spine. A quite scarce novel despite the author's place in the canon and multiple editions since 1922. It best exemplifies an eternal undercurrent in Bahian circles of the dialectics of the dark side of politics seeking and gaining allies in the dark side of the terreiros. Text in Portuguese.
