Illustrated with b&w photos on 16 double-sided plates. The author visited Italy and travelled around the country in the early 1950s. Medium 8vo (9-1/4" x 6-1/8"), faded orangish cloth with spine especially sunned, black lettering on spine, corners/crown/heel frayed, pages age-toned, a couple of pages accidentally creased at bottom corner. Name of former owner, booksale price, other notes in pencil on ffep, a few small marks in margins of some pages in the Sicily section.
