Osgood, mcilvaine & co., 1896. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1896. Second Edition. 266 pages. No dust jacket. Cream cloth with gilt lettering. Loss of front free endpaper. Pen inscription & previous owner's newspaper cutting to front free endpaper. Visible cracking to front hinge, exposure to netting. Gilt top text block edge. Pages are mildly foxed & tanned throughout. Text is clear. Binding is firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible crushing to spine. Minor splits causing fraying to cloth at spine ends. Heavy tanning all over. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering remains bright & clear.
