First separate printing of this piece which was originally published by "The Saturday Review" on April 22, 1950, this was issued by Viking as a promotional item in anticipation of its publication of Stegner's A Shooting Star, a note in Colberg C67 identifies this book, but it doesn't record it as the "A" item it is. Fine.
