Condition: Very good, with just a hint of shelfwear to covers. Signed by the author on title page. The front endpaper also bears the name Huxley (this book came from the collection of the late writer on Africa, Elspeth Huxley). Dustjacket condition: Very good, with very light shelfwear. 159pp. Several b/w photographic illustrations. In this book the author describes his life as a settler in Kenya during the period after World War II and the granting of independence, dividing his time between farming and hunting, and a way of life gone forever..
