Matching slipcase. 300 hand-coloured engraved plates (Including 2 folding) after Georg Dionysius Ehret, Richard Lancake, John Miller, William Houstoun and John Bartram, junior, by Miller, J. Jefferys and J. Mynde Occasional trivial spots and blemishes, one plate (no.2) lightly browned, generally a particularly clean and handsome copy. First published 1755-60, second edition 1771. "The most distinguished and influential British gardener of the eighteenth century" (DNB).
