Harmondsworth: Pelican Books/ Penguin Books, 1944. FIRST THUS. MMP, pp. 192 + numerous b/w plates, stapled (rusty). Light blue and white wrappers, lettered in black. Spine creased and rubbed, wear to spine ends. Wrappers grubby, edgewear and a little creasing. Toned, pencil ticks to 'Some Directors and their Films', else, clean and tidy. PB no. A126. Manvell (1909-1987) was the first Director of the British Film Academy.
