The first part of a larger project to reconstruct the informal groups and collectives of Chilean artists the local art community during their epoch and in their world for contemporary art. The first volume focus is on the artistic production and texts from the period of the end of the 1960s until the publication in 1986 "Márgenes e Instituciones." Some of the contributors include: informalismo: Gracia Barrios, José Balmes, Alberto Pérez and Eduardo Martínez Bonati as opposed to the first group of "arte efímero" and object art (Brugnoli, Errázuriz, Langlois Vicuña), an epoch that closed with the military dictatorship and let to the "Escena de Avanzada". Key artists of the last period of the book: Gaspar Galaz, José Balmes, Francisco Brugnoli, Virginia Errázuriz, Justo Pastor Mellado, Eugenio Dittborn, Gonzalo Díaz, Nelley Richard, Diamela Eltit, Pablo Oyarzún, Adriana Valdés y Carlos Altamirano.
