Inscribed by the author (and with a flower illustration drawn by McKuen): "Buddy--Sleep Warmly & Wake Up Smiling--Rod McKuen." Rod McKuen (1933-2015) was an American poet, songwriter, composer, and singer. This book is a chronicle of his search for information on his biological father; the book and its publicity helped make such information more readily available to adopted children.
