Firestarter with Special Dust Jacket

Firestarter by Stephen King (preceded by Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining, The Stand, The Dead Zone.) Hardcover First Edition - Second State Viking 1980 428 pages without a printed price on the front flap.

Special Dust Jacket: Clothed in an after-market dust jacket based on the Michael Whelan dust jacket art for the Phantasia Press signed-limited edition. For those who can't afford the $2500+ signed-limited edition, this is a wonderful alternative! (At this writing there are NO Phantasia Press copies of this title available.

Fine- in Fine Special Dust Jacket with a copy of the original Viking dust jacket underneath in very good only condition. The book itself is nearly fine save a hint of wear and aging to the corners. The original dust jacket has seen better days, with chips but now has a new lease on life with the special jacket!

Issue Points: Title and author in slightly dull red/orange lettering, $13.95 cover price on the front flap of the original jacket. Mentions the Phantasia Press issue on the copyright page. No indication of later printings, and no printing number-line which was Viking's means of indicating a first printing until 1989. Book itself has black paper boards and an orange cloth spine with gold title lettering for the title and black letters for the author and publisher on the spine.
