About This Item
London: Putnam, 1955. First edition, first printing. Published by Putnam in London, 1955. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper is bright and mostly clean, with typical chipping to the spine tips and corners. The spine is slightly sunned and has a minor chip to the bottom of the spine. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 15s. net price. The boards are bound in dark blue cloth and free from notable chips and marks, aside from some slight crumpling at the top and tail edges. The text blocks are bright and clean, free from foxing. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good condition. A detailed, step by step, account of Roger Bannister's running career, culminating in his four minute mile at Oxford.
