Hardcover has green textured paper-covered boards with gold spine lettering. Map endpapers. Color frontispiece. 63 color plates, 21 black & white plates, 10 text illustrations. NOT ex-library. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Spine ends lightly bumped. Covers have light surface and edge wear. Spine covering is very lightly wrinkled; no stains. First and last 2 or 3 pages lightly wrinkled at binding. Gift inscription on half-title page. Bookshop sticker from Sydney on verso of front free endpaper. Pages clean and unmarked. 343 pages. Color illustrated jacket has tattered top and bottom edges, with several tears and overall rubbing and wrinkling. Dust jacket has small price in ink on front. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
