B/w engraving with tissue guard to title-page, Green cloth,Amazing Art Nouveau picture to teh cover designed by the author - spine titled in gilt. Top edges of pages gilded. Delightful and literary angling stories, mostly based in North America, with a chapter on Norwegian fishing, and one on "Fishing in Books." One illustration loose plus frontispiece a bit loose too. "Light green cloth, with a design in dark green and gilt, of fish swimming among the stems of water hyacinth. The design by Henry Van Dyke, the author. is a beautiful example of art nouveau style." - quote from review of best Art Nouveau book covers.
