Random House, July 1973. First Edition. Cloth . Very Good/Good. Octavo [5 & 1/2' x 8 & 1/2'] In edgeworn jacket, especially well worn at top & bottom of spine and corners of front & rear panels. Several closed tears at edges top & bottom. Also there were creases and closed tears on lower half of spine. Ochre cloth covered boards with silver lettering along spine and gold lettering on front. Likewise matching ochre end pages. Textblock top edge is tinted a similar shade that has discoloration from age. Sound binding. [376 pages]

Synopsis

William Faulkner was born in New Albany, Mississippi, on September 25, 1897. Faulkner had begun writing poems when he was a schoolboy and published a poetry collection in 1924 at his own expense. In 1950, Faulkner traveled to Sweden to accept the 1949 Nobel Prize for Literature. He died of a heart attack on July 6, 1962.
