Palo Alto, CA: Palo Alto Peace Club, 1957. Newsletter. Thirty issues of the 8.5x11 inch, four-page newsletter; some uneven toning, mailing address and postal markings on rear panel, otherwise generally very good, though vol. 4 no. 1 is stained. Issues present are vol. 1 no. 8, vol. 2 nos. 3, 10, 11; vol. 3 nos. 1-11, vol. 4 nos. 1-7, 11; and vol. 5 nos. 2-8. The Club, which was largely composed of Communist Party members, devoted issues to such themes as the dangers of atomic warfare, coups against leftist governments around the world, American censorship of leftist literature, undemocratic rule in Nepal, funding for military research, etc. Isobel Cerney was one of the activists involved.
