French text, 4to, 302 x 232 mm, 12 x 9 inches, tan dustwrapper over plain thin card covers, dark green illustration and gilt title to to upper panel of wrapper, dark green lettering to spine, 117 pages. 12 beautiful mounted coloured plates by Nielsen set in beige borders, captioned tissue guards, decorated title page printed black and beige, red title, black and white headpieces and pictorial initial letters decorated beige and black, all by Pierre Courtois. Text printed within triple ruled red border. No inscriptions, head and tail of spine very slightly worn, very slight creasing to spine of wrapper, tissue guards slightly foxed along edges, resulting in very pale offset foxing to mounts of some plates.
