New York: Harper & Brothers, 1930 265 pgs. Pink cloth with color pastedown, shallow paper-clip impression to flyleaf, bookseller sticker to rear endpaper, gift inscription; color pictorial dust jacket with light wear, small chip from front panel, price clipped, a few small tape reinforcements to verso. A story of shipwrecked dolls who must survive on a deserted island. They take time to make special note of the flora and fauna which are described in great detail. There are 12 full page monochromatic plates and a dual-fold color map of the island. Plus there are sketches by Mr. Doll throughout the book, these are also, presumably done by Ms. Parrish. This copy is signed by Anne Parrish. The text and imagery contain black stereotypes. See Peterson & Solt pg. 35. Signed by Author. Stated First Edition. Pictorial Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
