Engraved frontispiece, twelve folding plates with slight offsetting but otherwise good, octavo, pp l, 390, [16], light age-toning and occasional light foxing, bound in twentieth century brown morocco with red cloth sides, slight fading and very slight wear. With the bookplate of Kenneth Lazenby, a founding father of the Alpine Garden Society. [In the first edition of Flora Lapponica (1737] Linnaeus's ideas about nomenclature and classification were first used in a practical way, making that the first proto-modern flora. This upddate by Smith, cites Linnaeus as the main author and uses Linnaeus' binomial nomenclature.]. Second edition. Half-Leather. Very Good.
