About This Item

New York: Sterling Publishing / Lark Books, 1989. Hardcover. Near Fine/very good +. DRYING FLOWERS WITH A MICROWAVE shows you how to preserve the brilliant colors and forms of fresh flowers without the frustrating problems of the space, light, and time requirements of tradtional methods. The book also includes guidelines for drying leaves and flowers unique to your particular locale. Book is near fine with little wear. There is a roughness to the bottom edge, can't tell if accidental or result of production run. Interior of the book is pristine. The dust jacket shows wear at the ends of the spine and at the corners which are also rubbed. In addition, the jacket cover has a piece of glossy wrap torn from the paper leaving a white piece the size of fingernail tip.

Reviews

On Sep 26 2007, Hazelwood_Booksellers said:
Titia Joosten's book swept Europe, then America as the first to show decorators and crafters how to dry flowers, fauna, and leaves without the necessity of time, space, and light used in traditional methods before the advent of the microwave --- and get fabulous results bursting with color. This slender, 72 page work is concise and jam-packed with easy-to-follow directions and instructions. As well as drying techniques, Ms. Joosten includes marvelous see-and-do illustrations to demonstrate flower wiring and clustering. Wreath-making as well as garlands are covered here. And mirror, window, or over-the-door embellishments. This is an absolute gem for the professional or the amateur. Professional credits to Studio 4 Colour of Amsterdam and Seudio Veldkamp, photography; Bronja Cramer, drawings; De Walburg Nursery; and Sandy Mush Herb Nursery.

About Trolls Treasure

Home-based, online sales only. I am running out of space to keep my collection of books, but I cannot bypass any chance offered at searching out some interesting venue offering books. I dithered for quite some time over this problem, and went right on buying books, until it occurred to me that I could make room for new purchases if I started selling some of my books. So, here I am, a small business, but offering personal service. Happy to answer questions.
