A beautiful volume with twelve picturesque colourful illustrations of landscapes in Jerusalem with a dried flower per image. A souvenir of the British occupation in 1917. An undated copy, dated from the year of the occupation c1917. With the wrong spelling to the title page, "Accupation."A beautiful book bound in olive tree with a carved illustration. Containing twelve colourful lithographic illustrations of views from Jerusalem. Attached to each view, is a wild dried flower with a description in English, German, French, and Russian. A souvenir of the British Occupation of 1917. The flowers are all in great condition and protected by tissue guards.A lovely copy of an interesting volume published by A. L. Monsohn Lithographic Press, know to have created complex decorations for documents and oriental calendars that combined Jewish art tradition with modern printing techniques. Printed from left to right as called for. In the original publisher's olive wood binding with a cloth spine and a carved holistic illustration, gilt to the spine, and "Jerusalem" to the rear board. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only and minor bumping to the spine. Internally, the binding is firm. The pages are bright and clean with a faint offsetting only. Illustrated with twelve lithographic illustrations of Jerusalem; with dried flowers tipped in protected by tissue guard. Very Good Indeed
