Clean hardback tightly bound in red cloth with gilt titles and decoration, cloth worn and rubbed at edges, corners bumped, back board has minor damage (cat scratches?), top page edges gilt, page fore edges rough cut, 2 bookplates one on front endpaper and one on front pastedown. Pages 55-58 + 1 plate are detached but present. A note signed by the author is at the bottom of page 262 with a reference to this noted in ink by a previous owner on the title page. xviii + 332 pages + 2 pages of author's adverts, 20 photos on plates, 28 illustrations in the text, index; Signed by Author .
