Mixed state of the first edition: only one publisher on the title page and no signature "11" on page 161. The book is in very good+ condition: clean and tight; bright, unrubbed gilt on the spine; very minor edgewear and rubbing of front cover design; pages only slightly toned. A very nice copy of Twain's last travel book.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+. Small 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Tall. Book.
Synopsis
Following the Equator (American English title) or More Tramps Abroad (English title) is a non-fiction travelogue published by American author Mark Twain in 1897. Twain was practically bankrupt in 1894 due to a failed investment into a "revolutionary" typesetting machine.
