About This Item

Marion, Massachusetts: Friends and Members, 1960. Mimeographed booklet, hole punched but not bound, (14 x 11.5 cm.), [16 pages (some vertical gatefolds)]. Cover illustrated with a linocut. Title partly from the wrappers. FIRST EDITION. A community cookbook for Marion, Massachusett's First Congregational Church. All recipes are attributed, and each is given its own page, some of which are cut longer to fit a longer recipe. Some of the contributors include: Ruth Ryder (b. 1910); Marion Channing, author of Textile Tools of Colonial Homes, The Magic of Spinning, and other books; and Janet L. (Miller) Thackeray (1922-2016). Light soiling of the wrapper panels, decorated with a whimsical linocut; otherwise very good or better. Unrecorded. [OCLC locates no copies; not found in other relevant sources].
