Octavo, 187pp. Black hardcover, title stamped in yellow on spine. Stated "first edition" on the copyright page. Light dust along top edge of text block, a fine example. In the publisher's dust jacket, $2.95 on front flap, faint shelf wear to rear panel, touch of wear to upper edge of spine, a near fine example, scarce in this condition. Fools' Gold by Dolores Hitchens was the basis for the French New Wave film, Bande à part, by Jean-Luc Godard. It was released as Band of Outsiders in North America, starring Anna Karina, Sami Frey and Claude Brasseur.
