London: J. B. Nichols and Son, 1828. Hardcover. Very good. 4to. xlviii, 348pp. Illustrated with 11 full page engraved plates, the plate of Egyptian Trades with contemporary hand-coloring. Recently bound to style in quarter calf, spine in six compartments and raised bands; leather lettering labels, gilt. The plates include scenes of Thebes, Acheron, Bacchus, Roman Houses, Pompeii, Telmessus, etc. Without the additional plates from other works sometimes found. The frontispiece was once closely trimmed, not affecting the image, is now mounted on paper of similar size and age as the text block. Occasional light foxing, one short marginal closed tear on a text page else a very good copy in a fine binding.
