Columbus, [OH]: Wright & Legg, Printers, 1842. 12mo. 220 pp. Light redding-brown cloth, printed spine label (minor soiling, spotting to covers, foxing to endpapers, and occasional interior foxing), still VG- copy, inscribed by Judge James McClure Coffinberry (1818-1891), son of the author to E. Williams. First edition, inscribed, of this curious collection of Ohio verse in octosyllabic couplets, against the backdrop of General Anthony Wayne’s campaign against the Northwest Indian Confederation led by Simon Girty, and Weyapiersenwah (Blue Jacket) a Shawnee Chief, and their final defeat at the Battle of Fallen Timbers.
