Four Printed Broadsides, 1901-1919. Each 1-page folio. Excellent, as new.

Four Broadsides related to Theodore Roosevelt. Three are signed by TR in type and issued as President; the fourth has President Wilson announcing TR's death. Each has a mourning border save for the one announcing the centennial of Lincoln's birth. All in excellent condition. A fine engraving of TR with facsimile signature comes with this collection.

DEATH OF WILLIAM McKINLEY

Roosevelt, Theodore. Printed Document, signed in type. "A PROCLAMATION." Washington: 14 September 1901. Folio; 1 page; mourning border. Signed in type by John Hay, Secretary of State. Roosevelt sets "a day of mourning and prayer throughout the United States" for the burial of assassinated President William McKinley.

Ibid. Printed Document, signed in type. "A PROCLAMATION." Washington: 24 June 1908. Folio; 1 page; mourning border. Signed in type by Alvey A. Adee, Acting Secretary of State. Roosevelt "directs that the flags on the White House"¦be displayed at half-staff for a period of thirty days" on the death of past-President Grover Cleveland.
