About This Item
London: Ariel Press, 1960. Cloth. Very Good/Fair. 15.5" by 12". Unamed. A illustrative work documenting numerous sporting events throughout the year. Folio with stiff card wraps, and held in the original dustwrapper. Illustrated with twelve good quality full-page colour plates. The plates illustrate Fox Hunting, Fishing, Racing and Shooting and are taken from the first half of the 19th century, including eight by Henry Alken. There are three for each sport. Bound in a card wrap, and held in the unclipped original dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine, with light age toning and bumping to the extremities. Dustwrapper is worn, chipping to the head and tail of the spine and also to the extremities. Small closed tears to the extremities. Larger tear to the front of the wrap, to the head. The odd spot and mark to the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
